For the rowboatbuilders this is more an price example when the boat size varies much more than for kajaks..

Strips We manufacture spruce strips 4, 5 and approximately 6.3 mm (1 / 4 ") planed cove / bead, raised spruce drop 17mm cedar of 17 and 19 mm (6.3 mm).
We stock spruce and cedar strips for immediate delivery
Strips in square oak for bows, materials for knee, transom and other
parts that may be needed.
Glue We sell Titebond III which is the best glue, it is a single component water-resistant adhesive.
Epoxy we have MAS "the blush free epoxy", which we think is the best epoxy there is.
Coating
The varnish we use is a one component clear lacquer with high UV as it is easier for the home builder to work with. Two component glue requires spray painting to become perfect.
We have HMG clear varnish Coma Bernice and an HMG matte clear coat for the inside.
Rylards rapid varnish has become our favourite as it gives a very nice area with nice luster at a reasonable price.
NOTE It doesn't have to be transparent! A stripbuilt boat can be painted in one color and then matched with clear lacquer details.
